Pakistan VS Srilanka T20

Dasun Shanaka receives the trophy from Ehsan Mani, the former ICC president, as the Sri Lankan flags fly high across the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. And now the players join their skipper to pose for the shutterbugs. It’s been a massive leap of improvement for Sri Lankan team after losing the ODI series 2-0 not long ago. They’ve batted first in all three T20Is and won games with some smart approach in all three departments. More question marks than answers in the Pakistan dressing room as their 2019 gets more sickening with another series loss. That’s that for now. We have an exciting Test match between India and South Africa lined up tomorrow morning. Do remember to tune in for that. Until then, goodbye and goodnight from the team: Raju Peethala, Rishi Roy, Ramakrishnan MS and Siva MD.

Dasun Shanka, Sri Lankan skipper: It’s a good victory. Thanks to the Pakistan crowd, they supported not just the home team but us as well. All the players bond well in our team and that is our key to success. They are very talented and I think unity is the secret behind our success. If we play smart cricket there is always a chance to win and each and every one took good decisions which helped us win the series. We should thank everyone in Pakistan, especially for PCB for inviting us to come and play a series here.

Sarfaraz Ahmed, Pakistan skipper: We recovered well with the ball and we had a good partnership with the bat too, but then we couldn’t get any momentum after ten overs and that is what cost us. We dropped a few catches and didn’t bowl well in the middle overs. The batting order has been shuffled a bit for this series as we wanted to try out a few players and see how they can go. We still have to work on all three departments and especially we have to do well in the middle overs. Special thanks to the Sri Lankan team for coming here and having a good series.

Wanindu Hasaranga, Man of the Match and Man of the series: My wrong un is my go-to ball and I use it smartly to deceive the batsman. I try to absorb the pressure and bowl as many dots as I can. I believe I have got enough variations to pick up wickets.
